What I built

An observability stack on the Grafana ecosystem: Prometheus and Mimir for metrics, Loki for logs, Tempo for traces, Alloy for collection, and OpenTelemetry for instrumentation.

Why

You can't operate what you can't see. I wanted to understand how metrics, logs, and traces actually fit together — not just wire up a dashboard and move on.

What I understood

Metrics, logs, and traces answer different questions; the real skill is knowing which one to reach for, and making all three point at the same moment in time.
